Yeah it would but I was hoping to save £130 for the sake of changing the connections. It’s probably the route I’m go into have to go down

i was hoping that there was a actual picture of the wiring out there that is labelled like the one on LR workshop website and I could then piece it together. I can do most things but I can’t read wiring diagrams at all

There is nothing saying that a missing propshaft is a failure. It talks about condition not removel. Like I said, my defender passed with only one propshaft since this change came in.

I had a disco with a rotting boot floor around the seat belt mounts, I removed the seats and seat belts and got an advisory to refit.

So just checked and yes propshafts are now included in the new test regulations (hence why mine got picked up on UJ’s), however they cannot test what is not there and it doesn’t say anything about removal of props.

Doubt it really is a failure though, how many Land Rover have had EGR’s blanked off? Only running one prop on my defender as it got picked up on the UJ’s. I simply removed it and put it back in for test. How long has this failure been in place?

So it would seem that the mechanic only disconnect the rear propshaft. I removed the crown and pinion and the noise has disappeared. Pinion is miss teeth and has worn. Going to fit a blanking plate to get by until the weather warms up.

Where abouts would a worn bush cause these symptoms. Had the rear mounts done before Christmas as it was clonking when taking up drive.

This is why i stick with defenders!

However when driving it in 1st with no acceleration it doesn’t make a noise

Sounds worse when rolling backwards

So tried to tow it and it is making a banging noise, sounds like the front propshaft
