    Thanks for that. I do pump the pedal - it does help but I'd rather get rid of the problem completely if possible

    I'd appreciate advice on the following 1.8K series (1999) - when starting from cold I need to run the starter for around 5-10 seconds before it starts. If restarted immediately after it starts normally. I've changed - HT Leads - Distributor & rotor arm - Fuel, air filter - Spark plugs...
