    Mine was doing that: turned out to be the coil. When it was hot (working temp) the internal insulation was breaking down and at tickover it just stopped because the spark was feeble. That engine had a 34ICH Weber for years and worked fine. Of course, it could be the carb.................

    Overfilled Overdrive

    It's likely that you have had the common problem of 'oil transfer' between the 'boxes. Tends to happen due to difference in temperature between them. Just correct the levels to the level plugs and it should be OK. Overfilling doesn't normally cause too much of a problem: it just wees oil...
