Well full day since "fixing" the car and i have to report that all is well. i even went back the the supermarket where it all started and no problems. think i am just gonna have to keep on top of battery cx`s in the key. thanks again gavbriggs if i`m ever down your way pint in order! Andy.

hi gavbriggs i changed the batteries at the start of the saga. i am leaving the car overnight and if it is still working in the morning then good, if it doesnt work i will look into replacing the rf reciever in the boot. Again many thanks for your time and know-how.

well got home this morning, had to open the car with the key again using EKA(1515), then tried key in to lock while holding the lock button and the news is good remote is functioning again woo hoo. much thanks and good will to all.

have had a deeper look at rangerovers.net and got a sequence of things to try again through the wife (fingers crossed) will let you know how i get on.

next installment, put in 1515 code via wife on the phone. Winner car started, next problem the key still refuses to remotely unlock/deactivate the alarm or lock the car. anybody got any ideas hoy to reactivate this function? thanks again for any advice given.
