Bit of update regarding the stop solenoid on the F.I.P. Firstly thanks to senior member Wammers for the advice . Yes it is possible with a socket , but neccesary to persuade it on with knockin stick bit risky but it worked .Took out the plunger of the solenid put i t back together fired 1st time...
iHiya everybody lookin for somebody who has changed the stop solenoid on their FIP . i have got to the stage where i have got reasonable access to it but the bugger wont budge 24mm open ender ( no room for a socket) cant heat it ANY IDEAS PLEASE!!!!!!
Ok lets see where we are . received parts wednesday 7 days after placing order (paddok spares they needed to source one of the parts from a land rover dealer) .didnt have the time to attak "toute de suite" SO this morning discovered what i think is the wrong part, door lock received is stamped...
ok cheers u 2 good feedback :) ordered striker and latch to be sure i have all i need i whilst i wait 4 the parts (maybe tuesday ) LA POSTE in France is not very rapid i will let u know, once again Thanks ....

Hi All just to give u Update ,,,,, took out rear door and cut off the striker , dismantled lock but dont know how to disable superlockin facility ? is it possible also the motor could be burnt out ????
duuuhhh sorry slight problem with me nuerones!! ...OK correct me if i am wrong (which is often ) but is it not the case when going thro the keycoding process the doorlocks have to qpen/ close in the desired sequence to re start the motor........... (his confidence draining ) ...

i would say there is about 1cm of play (radial movement ) i am not an expert and stoopid only wiv wimmin , the principle of the dual mass fly wheel is i s still a mystery ? :(
