    Biolandy and Shocker are most probably correct as had exact same problem with my 200tdi disco and it was the diode pack , you can either replace the diodes if you is familiar with electronics as the diodes have a +ve & -ve end to them , buy the diode pack complete or buy a new alternator .

    Better to go to Mothercare or Halfords or somewhere similar and get them to try some seats to see which ones fit properly before you buy .

    You say alternator fine , how was it tested ? Reason for asking is that I had same problem and it turned out to be a fault with a diode in the rectifier circuit of the alternator .

    Sounds like you got a blockage in the return pipe to the tank .

    Had same problem with my Disco , it turned out to be a loose pipe at the top of the tank , perhaps worth a try .

    OK update on the bloody annoying vibe , was parked outside front of house tonight and noticed a very suspicious lookin' spot of nice clean oil under the Disco :scratching_chin: (just recently changed the transfer box oil ) crawled under and :eek: what did I see but a VERY wet looking area around...

    Read that one that is why I checked all the points that the lift could feck up but all seem to be ok funnily enough the vibe is worse when in 4th and 5th gear and when changing between them .
