    Looks like its £44.95 - Car tyres, exhausts, brakes, car service and MoT testing - Kwik-Fit can fix it My question is how do you know when it needs changing? I must admit the demisting in my 5-door is hopeless - although it mists up really good :-) - and so I suspect mine needs doing.

    Sorry, probably didn't make that clear - it is the offside rear door window on a 5-door - not the boot window. Not sure what you mean by check across +ve/-ve. If I stick a multimeter across the connector with the red and blue wires it shows +12v or -12v depending on which side of the rocker...

    Just noticed that the offside rear window has stopped working on my TD4. All the others - which get regular use - are working fine. This one is used rarely. I've taken the door panel off and I'm definitely getting +/-12V to the motor(?) - the thing with the red and blue wires to it anyway -...

    You're dead right - the tape won't stick. It makes a lovely farting noise to upset the neighbours when you set off though :-) (FYI the hose was £6.10 at my local Landrover dealer.)

    Thanks for the information. I had a look this morning and yes, the short thick elbow hose coming from the right-side of the engine - haven't got a clue what it is but it is thick and black :-) - has a split in it. I'll try sealing it tonight with some duct tape and see if that has any effect...
