Only once to put the fitting plate/bracket on. The plate/bracket bolts on behind the spare wheel, using the 3 existing bolts holding the wheel on. The carrier then slots onto the bracket, and is on and off in seconds using a padlock. This is the same as the one I'm selling, see below.

I've got a simbars freelander 1 three bike carrier for sale. It bolts onto the spare wheel carrier so there are no straps etc. totally secure and removes in seconds. Google it and you will see what I mean. If you are interested, drop me a pm.

Thanks for that. No, have just been using regular diesel. I just find it odd that the car is still 'drivable' (to a point) whilst 3 injectors are down.

Unfortunately I had a synergy2 fitted as well, and I blew 2 injectors (costly replacements) not long after it was fitted, before I decided to remove it and run the vehicle as standard. The leak also started around this time......

Any thoughts, anyone? Why should it not smoke at all on first start-up when it is really cold outside? Something temperature/sensor related?

My TD4 smokes quite heavily on first time start-up, but only when the ambient temperature is fairly mild. When it is freezing, frosty etc, it starts up with minimal smoke - any ideas, folks, what might be the root cause of smoke when it is milder?
