Sorry iv not been back, the td4 was sorted. i fitted a dummy actuator, still no joy. i took the plunge and fitted a new high pressure pump. bingo. thanx for all ur help.

dann, the sensor on end ofrail is just like a oil light switch. i think the fuel pressure valve is in the back of the high press pump. if the switch in the rail was faulty, would it give the fuel press valve false info and send fuel back to tank. bt there again when it was scanned the scanner...
