:cool: HI, IF YOU STILL HAVE YOUR P38..CHECK THE WIRES THAT GO INTO THE THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR..I HAD SIMILAR PROBLEMS WI MINE.. AND A MEMBER GAVE ME THE ADVICE (ITS ONLY 3 WIRES) GET THE PLUG OF A ROVER 800 OR SIMILAR ..PLUG IS NUMBERED 123 GOT TO BE WORTH A TRY..MINES RUNS BETTER THAN EVER...

turns out it was 2 broken wires on the plug on the t.p sensor thanks to other member (214_si):)

GOT IT SORTED THANKS TO OTHER MEMBER (214_si) turns out it was 2 broken wires on the t.p.sensor plug..got another plug off a car at the breakers re connected the wires and hey presto!! good as new..everything doing as it should:D

:D ALL SORTED!!!, RUNNING EXACTLY AS IT SHOULD NOW..WAS 2 BROKEN WIRES ON THE PLUG WHICH GOES ONTO THE T.P SENSOR..PROBABLY WHATS CALLED OVERLOOKING THE OBVIOUS...THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR VERY VALUED HELP..I HAD IT BOOKED IN FOR A DIAGNOSTICS WITH LOCAL LAND ROVER DEALER @ £40+ EVERYTHING...

FANTASTIC !!! hope mines turns out to be the same..where is the mentioned ecu located..did you use the same plugs with NEW WIRE?? or did you have to get new plugs??? soon as i get the info from you im doin it..cant wait :scratching_chin:

GLAD THAT IM NOT ALONE WITH THIS PROBLEM!!:) seriously though ..mines is doing exactly the same and its drivin me nuts!! was driving brilliant before, just was a little rough on idle ..usually cut out.. so like you i replaced the iac valve ..and hey presto!! all the gearcganging problems began...
