Hi I have a 1995 P38 with ABS issues. Rather than replace the pump/ accumulator etc, is it possible to bypass the ABS altogether? And if so, any tips?

Thanks, we're thinking of trying the accumulator. A mate has given us the number of someone who can use a fault diagnostic machine on it. Is this worth a try? He wants £50 to plug it in.

Apparently its programmed that way, as if you were changing a wheel at the roadside you'd have the hazards on. It is for my 95 RR anyway, may have changed for later models

When jacking it up, you need to have the tailgate open and the hazards on. This locks the air suspension.

I have a 1995 P38 and its developed a problem with the brakes, but only intermittently. Sometimes, the abs light stays on the dash and the brakes are hardly there, but other times it works fine - no lights, brakes normal! I'm not getting any error messages on the computer. Any ideas?

Checked the little pipe as I'd read about that so I know thats fine. Will see if we can check stat later, and I'll look into the chemical testing. Thanks for the advice

When the heads were off the block and liners all seemed flush. No visible slip nor to the touch. I doubt the new stat was checked tbh, he probably assumed as it was new it would be fine. Is this something that should have been checked. We had the car idling and there were a few bubbles...
