I'm sure you're right, but I wonder if you could just make that a bit clearer. I'm guessing the Discovery 1 has two mounting points for the lap belt and I thought the actual inertia reel was fixed onto the seat back of the Discovery 2 seat. Is it that the lap belt fixings are not strong enough...

On a 95 Discovery is it possible to change the bulbs in the switches which are in the binnacle around the instruments? i.e. the rear windscreen washer + wiper switch and stereo control switches? Or do you have to replace the whole switch to get it to light up again? Cheers.

Tried most of the things suggested but no improvement. Eventually gave in and took it to local independent garage. Where it turned out to be failing air flow meter. Expensive fix, but it works. Thanks for all advice received.

Thanks for those. Battery and alternator are OK, have checked for vacuum leaks and can't find anything. I'll have ago at the distributor over the weekend. I don't think I've got the equipment to check ECU readings. Base idle and throttle linkages are OK. Might change the plugs if things don't...

I've not noticed mine is affected by slopes, it seems to stall in any situation, if it feels like it.
