Will check out the handbrake, what is strange is when I depress the clutch while driving it locks the backwheels, disengaging 4L free it up again, I know it can't be windup but maybe its to little or too much endfloat on a shaft or worn gears?

Hi need advice on a 2.25 petrol, REMOVED THE FRONT PROPSHAFT, went for a spin around the block, when engaging 4 low the transfercase starts to wind up, when the clutch is engaged the back wheels lock up, the lever shift back normally to 2wd to unlock the wheels. do someone know what can cause this?

Thanks oxides, sorry I missed your reply! I found the problem, I had one spare carb between my spares, when I stripped the Landy everything was mixed up, so I fitted the wrong carb. So some Landys had the nipple for the servo on the manifold, and some had the nipple on the base of the carb. Yes...

Thanks Tencars, mine do not have the nipple on the airintake( the airfilter pipe that fits on the carb) The 12mm nipple on the carb is below the butterfly flap, so I must block it off to run properly, a Zenith is fitted on mine

Need advice please, stripped my Landy a few years ago and can't remember what pipes go where, mine is a 1973 2.25 Sw, on the manifold is a pipe that connects to the servo, on the carb there's a 12 mm nipple, but the inside diameter is about 5mm, it is facing to the firewall at a 45 degree angle...

Thanks guys I found the problem, two flywheel bolts was lost, so I replaced them, with two slightly longer bolts, they where just catching the bellhousing, when turned by hand it did not feel like its catching, inexperience maybe! Any advise to prime the oilpump before starting?

Get some 7 core trailer wire, pull it through to the back, and a piece to the front, join the front and back park lights, and flickers and join to the existing wiring behind the dash. You can install some relays for headlights if you like. At the back you will have two wires extra for reverse...

Thanks Pobby I will install it, a blocked filter left me stranded next to the road once so hopefully with the two big filters, and regular servicing the chance of it happening again will be much less!

I am busy rebuilding a Series 3 and I have a diesel filter system with the pump on top of the filters available, it is from a Nissan diesel pick up, can one use this system on the 2.25 petrol? I am not keen on the little inline filters. Thanks!
