    Zf4hp22 gearbox oil change

Got round to putting the oil in today, made sure the six retaining bolts where tight and the pan was seated properly. Put five litres in. Down the dipstick tube. Cycled through the gears a few times and then checked the level. Engine at idle, gearbox in neutral. Level reads a little low. But was...

    Zf4hp22 gearbox oil change

I still haven’t got round to refilling my box back up yet, been busy. My box has a dipstick but no filler, I was going to use the dipstick hole. What was the device from B&Q used to do the refill? Cheers Dave

    Zf4hp22 gearbox oil change

Thanks again for the reply’s, I will run it for a while and drop the oil again. I do have a spare box if needed, but changing it would be a massive hassle. It drives ok at the moment, but when I got it the throttle valve cable was loose. I have adjusted that now. I also have a spare 3.9 to go in...

    Zf4hp22 gearbox oil change

Thanks for the reply’s Easier to change the oil twice, I guess. 25k between changes might be a problem, I only do a few hundred mile in a year in it.

    Zf4hp22 gearbox oil change

All I’m in the process of changing the oil in the auto box on my 90. I’ve dropped the crossmember and dropped the oil and replaced the filter. What I would like to do is give the box a flush through. What I would like to know is there a best practice. My plan was to disconnect the gearbox from...

    18” tyres

Justin I can’t makeup my mind to go for 65 profile vs 60 profile. 60 are the cheaper option and are only a little bit smaller than the 235/85r16s that are currently fitted. Cooper do a 275/65r18 at that look good Dave

    LED lights

Simple enough to do, as mine is a pre 94 all the lights connections are bullets. Only problem I had was a bad earth. The rear lights fitted over the existing holes, just needed to drill two new fixing holes per light. The front side and indicators where cracked, so got some direct replacements...

The front wing is a little bent. The tyres are 235 85 16 The front control arms are standard ones, the rears are castor corrected. Going to get these replaced soon. It does ride better on the new springs The shocks are the ones terrafirma recommended for std suspension

Just using it as a run around. No off road stuff. Not sure about the lift, please see my other thread. Still working on if it is or not

    Returning to std springs

The springs that came off where terrafirma +2” and the ones that went on where bog standard. Still looks lifted. Currently it has 235/85r16 tyres fitted. How big would the gap between the tyre and the arch be for standard. Ie no lift?

    Returning to std springs

That’s my point I’ve gone from a 2” lift to standard and it’s the same!!!
