i am of the opinion that once you let the battery go dead flat. (not even the alarm led was flashing) there is no way of recovery for a range rover p38, its the only thing that makes sense to me.another new battery required me thinks. no smell of burning in the fuse box

not totally sorted, unfortunately. plugged the sounder back in today. i could then reset the windows and sunroof not set. but now you open the doors with either the key or the fob, put key in ignition turn to position one no messages displayed. turn on ignition eveything lights up as should do...

from that picture it looks like the smaller diameter wire that bolts to the battery clamp tensioner bolt goes to the starter, does the one with the battery clamp on, go to the fuse box?

have solved the problem with the keycode lockout/ reprogramming, but now i need to find the part number for the red cable that goes from the battery to the starter motor. as it is so brittle and coroded and will not take the current.

well done everybody, it all works now. i found a way to do the sill buttons at the same time as the door lock and both keys programmed in first time.

i dont know if its the BBS, its the black 4" cube box on the wing on drivers side behind the battery that makes that high pitched noise when the alarm goes off

my 1995 4.0 se v8 has a single exhaust the only differant parts are the rear box and the previous section that i beleive goes over the axle too the center box.

years ago my indicators did not beep. at the same time the high/low transfer motor stopped working.i took the motor off made up some link wires to con the becm into thinking the motor was in high, and boom the indicators were beeping again.

anything computer related confuses me. never learnt how to use them because you had to press 2 buttons at the same time, and i could not reach both.

i have tried every option available to down load rave but nothing works.

i did update my windows 7 back along.
