I replaced the arms on my last Freelander but they only lasted about a year. In the end I did my own fix along the lines of those clips... quite solid even if I do say so myself :D

Funnily enough I have a new thermostat (among a few other things) for a TD4 sitting in my garage since selling the Hippo. ;)

If you are sure the fuses are ok, it may be the indicator relay itself with fused contacts.

Sounds like air is being created at the input of the sender somehow. Can you test the sender system with a bucket of fuel? See if it's producing air output?

There's nothing wrong with a Freelander TD4 Auto towing up to 1500kg (more is allowed but this is comfortable.) cheaper to run, easier for retired folk to get in /out of. Look after it by making sure you keep to the 'new tyres on the rear axle' rule and the VCU wont let you down. Off road...

Some caravan storage is inside, though I'm not sure how impressed a caravan owner on a waiting list would be to see a Landie taking up a slot.

Auto boxes are easier to start the pull with as you are not riding the clutch as it takes the strain of the trailer. I think most who have tried both would recommend towing with an autobox.

Space-saver tyres are same diameter just different width and limited speed. It's also just a get-you-home item and not for general use ;)
