    We've done over 2000 miles towing since covid. I would say that's more than occasional towing. I guess I will have to get a stronger tow hitch, otherwise I'll be worrying too much to enjoy my 'new' Disco. Better safe than sorry.

    It wasn't me, but a friend towing a 3 ton digger. My concern is if the tow point is weak I will have to fix it, as a previous thread says, I have no idea how mine, or even if mine, was used by the 5 previous owners, and this is an unexpected extra cost. It was bought to tow.

    I think a VOSA traffic officer should know what is current. They tend to specialise in road and vehicles.

    Previous thread says land rover say too much use damages towing point, so is this your opinion or can you confirm as fact. I know they tow 3500kg, but is the towing point rated for continuous use without reinforcing.

    I have been told by traffic officer that land rover only cover the detachable tow hook for up to 650kg. More is not allowed and was actually a traffic offence. Anyone know if that is true, as traffic officer should know?
