Hi, Just wondering if anybody knows where i can get a brass spacer thingy for the end of me half shaft (shown in pic) I have had to strip my front axle ('89 rangey classic) cos the diff broke, but when i took the half shafts out one has a brass spacer thingy on the end and the other one...

Yup, it rubs a bit on the radius arms but not too bad. Also rubbing on front wing (bottom front of arch) i think. Hard to tell without someone hanging out the window looking, whilst i raz round a roundabout! Might need to give wing front bottom a little trim.

mmmmmmm......... Alloys look better though. Seen some heavy duty springs that give about 1" lift for reasonable money. Apparantly no further mods needed!

Cool, wonder if STT's might be better on steel rims. They would be much stronger but loads heavier. What u fink best?

Yes mate, STT's are on but not yet tested (well not in any mud yet anyway). Need to chop front arch a bit, could hear a nasty rubbing when going round a roundabout today on way to tip. Cant see which bit of arch its rubbing on! Still got old treads, dont know whether to keep as spares.

Got to love that old RRC V8.

I should be coming along hopefully. Need to find out how to get there yet!

will 265 still fit with standard suspension height?

Thanks, might be a good idea, but i think the disco rims sit a bit different to the rangey ones (further out i think).

Anybody know if 235/85/16 mud tyres will fit on RRC with standard suspension without rubbing arches at full articulaion? Norm size is 235/70/16 i fink.:confused:
