Stihl are a sleekit bunch. They sell the machine but all the other bits are extras. Eg: you buy a chainsaw you get the actual machine but the guide bar and chain have to be bought separately..expensive way to buy kit. (Maybe still got a sad on from the war eh)

That might be a fuel called Aspen. Supposed to be fancy clean burning, doesn’t clog up the engine and good for the environment but it costs a packet. I stick to 4*.

I put a tea spoonful into a cup, couple if it’s a flask or my old bottles. Might work 👍

You tried bicarbonate of soda. I use it. I’ve got old 58 pattern water bottles, been using em for 35 years. Bit worried about the old plastic having a dodgy Chemical in it.

That’s old faithful for in the workshop, been dropped quite a few times and never breaks, it’s also kinda small cos I was drinkin so much coffee my heart was gettin funny beats so moved to a smaller cup…seems to have worked..and ain’t wee’in like a pownie 😎

Here’s a coupla photos from when I changed mine. Makes a few holes right enough but finish is ok with some careful work.

I stuck a cheese n’ onion pie in my old man’s car under his seat…it was honking and he couldn’t find what the smell was..took him a while but in the end he sussed it 😂
