    Freelander 1 Tailgate won't open

Many thanks for the write up. I managed to undo the two small torx screws, the one that is circled red and the one at the top, of the actuator. As I could not move the plastic cover up far enough. Once the second screw was removed, and using a screw driver I prised off the entire black...

Discovery 3 Fuseable Link for Aircon/Vents

Good Evening All, I have a bit if a head scratcher for this one in that coming home the other day, the vent (AirCon was off) just stopped blowing but all remained lit on the controls, a few seconds later a slight smell of burning could be smelt. Turned off the vents and the smell stopped and...

Disco 2 Help please.....TD5 fuel problem

With no pump, didn't even know that was possible. Pump is working fine, but no matter how full or empty the tank is, I always get fuel either splashing up or the pump clicking off, unless I hold the pump almost of the nozzle, far from ideal.

Disco 2 Help please.....TD5 fuel problem

Hello All, The vent pipe that is arrowed in the above picture, does anyone know the part number please. I can find the part number for the larger breather pipe but not the vent pipe with the loop. Also numbers 19 & 20 in picture would also be useful as mine have seen better days. Seen part...

    Greenlaning nr Guildford?

Miss the old days of getting out and about on the lanes, must have been about three years since I had a drive in them. One day I’m sure I will again but not exactly an essential journey at the moment.

    Greenlaning nr Guildford?

I'm still here now and then, since moving from Surrey to Sussex I haven't been laning and really miss it, it was my way if relaxation. Since moving the family has grown in both people and landys, I guess one side doesn't want to feel left out. Look forward to laning again one day, well over due.

Freelander 1 HDC Failure Light and Auto Box Concerns

Never did it again since, though the indicator with the red light next to the gear lever I did change, as the bulb went dead. Also for the past six months been driving the car without a reverse gear, as it just revs like in neutral when it’s selected, the cost of the repairs is more than a 160k...

Disco 2 Roof box for ES premium tubular roof bars

Hello everyone, As the title suggests I have an ES premium with the tubular fatter style roof bars on my D2. Has anyone managed to find a compatible roof box to fit the cross bars for this type, as every search I do is for the the more standard cross rails and not the style I have. Many thanks.

I let you know what I decide, at the moment it’s done 3000 miles without reverse, it drives perfectly . if I decide I’m brave enough to do the work, yes pictures will be taken 100%.

I’m guessing to replace the band is a specialist job and not for a diy on a drive

Freelander 1 Automatic Gearbox and Solenoids (Td4)

I haven’t touched any bolts, oil was changed about three years ago. I was doing a three point turn and it all became interesting all of a sudden, no bangs or thuds, just a lot of revs :(
