    Series 3 Expedition 1972 Series 3 Build

Got them from Mill Services in Wales - Kevin Davies, a real nice guy. Sliders are really heavy duty, a bit of welding and some metal plate to get them to sit the way I wanted but aside from that an easy fit. Could not make them for what Kevin sells them at.

    Series 3 Led lights

fitted truck lights to my series 3 and they are an excellent addition and are a good match for the standard series lights so do not look out of place, they are expensive though. saying that I also mounted 4 Laxer lamps 7in Sentinel's to the roof and 2 25MAXX utility lights on the rear!!

    Series 3 - Electrical Issues

Hi Folks, I noticed a new quirk a couple of days ago with my Series 3 in that when I turn on my lights, rather inconveniently my dash catches fire! Driving along the road I noticed smoke coming from behind the gauge panel, at first I thought it was the heater but after pulling over to take of...

    Spare wheel mounting options

Starting to regret raising this issue!! Think I will either keep it mounted in the back or chuck it in the garage and hope for the best.

    Spare wheel mounting options

Thanks. I agree with you on the back door hinges and that was my concern. My bonnet has not got the dish in it due to needing room for engine swap and don't think the wheel will look good just planted on top. Might take your advice and let the RAC sort out any punctures and ditch the spare.

    Spare wheel mounting options

Hi, currently my spare wheel is mounted in the back of my 3 series. No room on bonnet as 200tdi takes up all the room! I would like to get the wheel out of the back, so I suppose I have two options; 1. bolt the carrier bracket onto the back door and mount the wheel; or 2. Fit a swing away...

    Home at last! (Almost)

After one breakdown, which thankfully turned out to be minor I have made it to the boat. Albeit 24hrs later than planned! I must say that aside from the starter packing in the landy ran perfectly for the entire 350 miles or so. Just Dublin to Armagh left before she will be safely home.

    Hi Folks

Thanks for all your comments. Turns out the starter motor is knackered. Just waiting on replacement then hopefully will be underway again!

    Hi Folks

Thanks Steve. Only tried the once to bump start it as it wouldn’t solve the problem, as soon as I stoped again. Is it a big job to replace the starter ring. It just I could really be with getting back home tomorrow.

    Hi Folks

Hi Folks, Collected series 3 today for the drive from London to Holyhead. All was going great and landy was driving excellent. Stoped of at M6 toll services for a coffee and landy would not start again. To me it sounded like a starter problem as it was spinning when turning the key but was not...
