    army radio arial for cb?

True enough. Didn 't want to confuse the issue with to much tech details. I think the normal Ohm's for a CB aerial is 20 Ohms. Not to sure what the specs for the military ones are. Depends on the radio type I should imagine. Normally you would have someone that has access to a SWR meter to check...

How do you remove fuel tank on 53 plate 90?

No.. I am a LITTLE handier than that. Cut a nice bit of plate just slightly bigger than the hole. Beveled the edges nicely and round the hole put in some door rubber that squash down to seal. 6 self tappers oround the edge and I now have a dust/waterproof hatch. Was even thinking of putting in a...

    army radio arial for cb?

What you have to do is check what the resistance of the arial you have is. You should be able to download a chart from the net. If the the resistance is to high, you may be able to snip off a piece of the whip (thats the long thin thingy that points to wards the sky) :) Check your CB and it...

How do you remove fuel tank on 53 plate 90?

Glad to see that I'm not the only one that cut his own hatch to get to the pump :). Lot easier than tring to drop the tank. Not to mention that you have to have double jointed fingers to reach in and disconect the pipes.

    Defender 90 fuel problems

Well I finally did something. I changed the fuel pump (Bugger all this hassle with trying an inline) with a new TD5 pump (which i managed to get at a reduced rate. About 1500 SA Rand off). Cut a nice access hatch. and took me all of 1 hour, including the cutting of the hatch. My baby is as good...

Hmm. Could be. There goes my hope of NOT having to drop the tank. Well maybe I will cut an inspection hatch instead. Will make it the weekend project. Will let you know how it goes.

    Defender 90 fuel problems

Hi, Hope someone can give me a few pointers. I have a 2000 TD5 and I think the fuel pump is dead. (Being a sort of intelligent bloke,I noticed that there is no fuel getting to the engine). I am from South Africa and the cost of Landy spares are VERY high. The cost of a new pump here is...

    Defender 90 fuel problems

I really hope that someone can help. These new landy's are the pleasure and the bane of my life. My fuel pump, I think, has given up and a few of the guys around were saying that I should put an inline pump in for ease of use and changing, and it would also be cheaper (The price of a new pump in...

    Les

Hi, Just thought I would say hello from the shores of sunny South Africa.:D . Having driven Landy's in one form or another for the last 20 odd years I thought that I new it all. HA. The newer ones have me stumped. Give me the good old series any day for ease of repair in the bush. I will be...
