Thanks everybody out there for this input. Im in a world of pain right now and this sounds better than what my normal mechanic is saying.

I dont know, apparantly my normal mechanic staryed it then turned it off quick. But I was local when it happened so I drove it back, gently. Its an auto, squeeking like a fan belt slip was heppening on easing off the excelerator, then the engine got louder and turned into a knocking sound.

Yeh my normal mechanic seems vague and not really i interested. Had i5 4 months, bringing it back to life

Wires were ok, not diconected from the battery or anything but I'll live with it till I find a good mechanic that can change the engine on it.

Sorry guys trounle signing in. Yep, not so lucky other problems now, Needs a new engine apparantly.

Hi everyone. I have freelander 1 sport and now the SRS light has come on on the dashboard display. Anybody know this fault, usual suspects to cause this plz. Your help is appreciated.
