Yeah the battery is currently under the driver seat. And yes that is a large air filter in the left side of the engine bay.

Appreciate the help! One gentleman suggested that "it's the straight 6 used in the SD1, derived from the Australian p76 engine. The S3S used a Santana gearbox with different 1st, 3rd and reverse ratios. Might help to look for Santana parts." Does this sound correct or possible to you guys?
