So I plugged computer in and there was voltage to the sensor, so we swapped for another and alas suspension works. Woop woop. No lights on the dash now when it starts and when I drive around <30mph. Abs light comes up sometimes then says air suspension inactive, but the car is now level. It...

Great, I think I had the doors open and the button lit so it was never going to move :p Think I need a new sensor as no voltage to it (according to computer) and the bracket seems wobbly - maybe this is the sensor he said he broke... the search continues!

Can I press the button and jump out and look at it move or do I need to keep it pressed down or up?

I didn't have the computer plugged in when testing the suspension. Everything but the front left was moving. I don't totally know how to use the controls either. I was supposed to look at a manual but got distracted. Best to plug in the computer again then, I guess? See if there's any fault on...

So the new looking cable is detached, do they need swapping?

So, got the bolts off (filler bolt was a nightmare, need to replace as had to drill but unable to find one, can only find the sump plugs, I think it might be this though?) and dropped the oil, cleaned and replaced (it was manky and black and definitely not changed like the guy I got it off said)...

It was a proper landrover battery and was fully charged. I googled the error codes and found something that its the battery, I've since changed it but not cleared codes. I will update tomorrow! Thanks chaps.

Yeah the battery was rubbish, replaced it. I will clear all codes and see how I get on.

No not yet, but it has a fault on the dash to do with the air suspension, but I wanted to get it moving first. Just changed the square fuse in the boot area but was more distracted with the gearbox.

But I'm dropping/changing the gearbox oil first and checking the oil for bits in it before going down the recon gearbox route, right? ;) I don't know it's history :)

Not too far I guess, is it a matter of taking her in for a lookover or do I take bits off etc? I could drop the oil/change and see what's occurring but I'm no expert. I will certainly look for the bits in the oil, but would that mean TC&GB replaced totally? It's looking more like 1500 for bits...

Thank you for your reply, I will get the kit and get that done first of all then! I tried to search this but nothing about it going worse only when warm. I came across draining gearbox so found the YT video. Thanks, seems I may be going in the right direction ;)

Hello hello! Sorry if this is too long, I can make them shorter if need be, being new I didn't want to miss anything. Recently acquired an Auto Diesel 2003 3L Land Rover Range Rover (which I understand to be L322). All we've been told is that it was a gearbox issue, wouldn't move at all so...
