    When I took the engine apart a few months back cylinder 3 had similar marks on the piston , seems a little strange. After the last rebuild i could not stop what I thought was pinking no matter how I adjusted timing and carb but I couldn't hear any pinking on a test run last night . I wounder...

    After a chat with a friend this morning he seems to think the marks on the top of piston could be inclusions ( think that's what he said ) , basically it's caused by impurities in the metal of the piston just below the surface and as they get hot it causes these marks to a appear

    Last week saw some ford fiesta seats for 20 quid so bought them and cut runners off then welded them to series runners bolted in and job done after a quick clean they look OK, the pattern on them is even blue to match body colour
