just oiled mine today and there was no difference. one thing i did notice is that it only did it when going from right full lock to left, not left to right.

can't really help you. my disco mk1 has the identical problem you have. it only does it when stationary or moving very slowly. maybe its common problem.

Hi John The part you have trouble with is called a spider, the problem with them is when you get dry joints on the pcb,which need resoldering. i did mine last night and it took about 1.5 hrs start to finish. the spider is buried behind the center console, you need to remove the radio ashtray...
