Plastic inner wheel arches on ‘85 90?

Our pre-Defender 90 probably has the original front inner wheel arches… at least that would explain the state of them! I’m wondering if it’s worth trying to patch them up or better to just replace them. Does anyone know if the more recent plastic arches - LR053803 I think - would be a drop-in...

    Service schedule?

We've had our mid-80s, 200-TDI-re-engined, Ninety a bit over a year. She doesn't do huge miles, no more than a thousand or so a year. Spends most of her time in the garage on a trickle charger. Just wondering what people would recommend for a regular (let's say annual) home service schedule...

Mud flaps, bonnet latch for '85 90

Smashed bottom of the OS rear indicator lens on the 90 at the weekend. Think it may have been a stone flicked up from back wheel. No great problem to replace, but it's put me in the market for some rear mud flaps. We've not had her long and she didn't come with any flaps - or rather she came...

    Chassis/underpinnings rust treatment

We bought a mid-80s 90 recently, after hunting around for a while. Not perfect condition, but not bad. I think she’s had money spent in the past - chassis seems in good nick and had a 200TDI dropped in at some point. I’m not sure the last owners were kind to her though - lived outside, not sure...

    How big is it?

(As the actress said to the bishop...) I’ve recently acquired some new garage space. Not a whole lot, but enough to fit a new toy I’m still on the lookout for a Series or possibly early 90/110, mostly as a fun second/weekend car & the rest of the time it’ll be undercover. But because space is...

Seats in the back of 109/110 hard top

Since my last thread about getting an 88 Series for local bimbling & occasional use I've been doing a bit more thinking. We live in a nice bit of the country and it'd be good to get out with bikes, kids, kayaks etc. An 88 or 90 is going to be challenged on capacity. A 109/110 wagon (relatively...

Rear facing seats - is this a daft idea?

Hi there, former Stage 1 driver here (I didn't need to pay for the fuel thankfully!). Now have a young family and thinking about maybe getting a Series as a second car, for getting out in the local countryside etc. Don't have one yet though I've been closely following all manner of eBay...
