Limited range on the remote fobs

Just an update. My mate had an old wrecker. I took the unit from his. It was dripping with water. Dried it out and installed it, works great now, fob works from maybe 3m away. It wasnt even the same numbers on the box. Worked straight away. Thanks for the advice all.

Limited range on the remote fobs

I've opened it up and dried it out. The board is fixed in with plastic pins. I didn't have the balls to remove the board this afternoon as the truck was needed this evening. I will have to open it up properly tomorrow. In all fairness it didn't look at all bad tho inside the box.

Limited range on the remote fobs

Yes, good advice, I'll go back and check all those things later when I get back from work. Do you happen to know if it is a straight swap or is any programming required. Thanks.

Limited range on the remote fobs

Hi there, Has anyone come across this and able to help me with a solution? To switch off the imobiliser and start the vehicle, the fob needs to be held directly adjacent to the black box in the roof lining. Picture attached. I don't think it's the fob batteries, both of them have zero range. The...

Another flashing M&S light issue - sorry

Just an update, found this very small break in one of the cables. It was hardly visible, but bare. Done a solder repair and put it all back together, been for a test run this morning and it all seems good. Praying that this was the problem and its now fixed. Thanks very much for all your help.

Another flashing M&S light issue - sorry

Found it now, thanks for the steer. On the detailed post the guy threads the loom through from the console. I'll have a go tomorrow. You've mentioned drilling out the rivets of the panel holding the gear selector on one of your posts, I reckon I'll have a look at that as well. Thanks for your...

Another flashing M&S light issue - sorry

Having read the post I'll have to reassemble the vehicle and get it to some one with either Nanocom or Hawkeye (are these ok?), I was hoping to check the loom first tho for any obvious damage?

Hi there, want to check the loom properly but struggling to get to it. All disconnected at the bottom and was hoping to get to it via the top, but even with the console out, its flummoxed me a bit? any pointers please?

Another flashing M&S light issue - sorry

Great, thankyou, I was looking for a full break in the insulation. I'm a bit flummoxed on how to get the loom out, could do with a steer on that, I'll message him if he doesn't see this first, thanks.

Another flashing M&S light issue - sorry

Hi there, yes I've had the codes reset, ran the vehicle and almost immediately back into limp. Admittedly I've not measure voltage since the new battery was fitted for either cranking or whilst running. I'll have to do that tomorrow and report back. Thanks.

Another flashing M&S light issue - sorry

Hi there, I apologise in advance for yet another flashing M&S light issue. The vehicle is 51 plate Disco2, the two lights are flashing and vehicle is pretty much in permanent limp mode. It had a new XYZ switch a couple of years a go. Error code (read on a Delphi device)is attached and shows...
