    P38A Cabin Air Filter Housing.

Thanks for your efforts but I know the part you are referring to and that's not the part I mean, I've removed that. Once the part you are referring to is removed you will see the plastic housing in which the pollen filter sits, and in the bottom of it are 8 off M5 x20 panhead screws which secure...

    P38A Cabin Air Filter Housing.

I'm talking about the metal housing in which the pollen filter sits, you have to remove the scuttle to access it.

    P38A Cabin Air Filter Housing.

I beg to differ, having tried several.

    P38A Cabin Air Filter Housing.

Yes, the 8 screws that hold each of the pollen filter housings to the body. They are not regular screws as they have a plain unthreaded part at the end of the screw for location purposes.

Does anybody know where I can get the screws from that hold the cabin air filter box housing to the body? I think that they are M5 x 20 Pan head extended tip (dog point) screws. I'm not going to put the old ones back as some were very difficult to get out and rusty.

Thanks for the swift responses gentlemen. It is much appreciated.

    P38A 2002 4.0 litre V8. No front drive shaft.

I have removed the front drive shaft as the bearings were in very poor condition and need replacement. My question is can I still drive it without a front drive shaft or will it cause problems?

    P38A 2002 4.0 V8. Vibration.

Apologies and thanks to those who have already replied but I realised that my original post did not give any of you reading it enough information to help me so I've added year and engine. I have a new problem which started to manifest itself about a week ago but seems to be getting steadily...

    P38A Vibration.

You may be on to something there. I think the wear may have been on the outside.

    P38A Vibration.

Thanks for the reply. I've just had a quick look but I can't see a crank vibration damper. My car is a V8 petrol version should it have one?

    P38A Vibration.

I have a new problem which started to manifest itself about a week ago but seems to be getting steadily worse. I had a couple of new tyres fitted on the front about a month ago and the tracking adjusted as the old tyres had worn unevenly, I can't remember if it was the outside or inside edge...

    P38A Water Ingress.

Do you have any tips for unblocking them?

    P38A Water Ingress.

Yes, sorry I missed that important piece of information.

    P38A Water Ingress.

I was giving the car a thorough clean at the weekend and took off the plastic trim that covers the join between the carpet and the bottom of the rear door opening on the drivers side, it's the section that when removed you can see the wiring loom. There was a little bit of clear water in there...

    P38A Roughness Timing.

Apologies, the leads are only about 2 years old but I will check if plug change doesn't work.

Thanks Kermit, that was a quick respnse. I'll change the plug and let you know.

    P38A Roughness Timing.

For some of you this must seem a strange title for a thread but for those of you with a Nanocom hopefully it will not. Anyway the truck felt a bit lumpy the other day, it's a 4.0 litre Thor engine running on LPG, so I plugged in the Nanocom and although it shows no faults, when I had a look at...

P38A Thor Engined V8 Oil Consumption.

That is worth exploring because I asked local garage to check it for blue smoke this morning and they said that there was no sign of any smoke at all. I imagine that the crank seal and front timing cover would only leak when engine running which is why I have no oil on the drive?
