    As the title says, after fitting some parabolics with extended shackles i have now found the front prop is too short! Anyone else had the same problem? Can you buy a prop that is about 40mm/ 1"1/2 longer? (series III)

    Hi was going to have a go at my leaky gully's on my series land rover just wondering what the best sealant to use. It was previously siliconed but that seems to lift and peel after a while someone showed me some German stuff at a classic car show onetime but I can't remember what it was called...

    Not too bad still sucking air in somewhere on the fuel line tried adjusting timing today but didn't dare turn more than couple of millimeters but did seem to be smoking slightly less!!

    cool. Does it come straight out of the lift pump or has it got 90degree bend(the 1 I need) otherwise it will be in way off accelerator!

    All I can think is the timing belt has snapped previously and all they did was replace the belt!!!! But anyone with half an idea would of known that it bends the rods when you break a belt on them!

    Update!! Took the head off last night discovered three bent pushrods and one broken one (probably good job I didn't bump her) Ooooo and four wobbly firing pots! took the head off me old engine and the pushrods out refitted and fired her up. Still needs some "fine tuning" Tappets need setting...

    hope it works out for ya my experience with ebay n engines so far has been crap luckily I know where he lives an I still got his phone number! He may be getting a call soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!
