Okay nodge68 I have not fitted a new bosch maf, just the one that was already in it, and a used bosch maf off eBay

    MAF

Hi Arctic2 no I don't have a synergy fitted and I have cleaned out the egr, but not too sure about the map sensor I think I did when I took the manifold off. Both the original one and the second hand maf had bosch on them thanks

    MAF

Think I may just leave it disconnected, surprised it hasn't put the eml on, doesn't start or idle great though

Do you think a blueprint, which I am assuming is a make, maf would make a difference Jayridium? Thanks for your offer and is there a way of testing the map sensor PRO?

    MAF

Hi yall, does anyone have any idea why my freelander td4 2005 will only run reasonably well with the MAF disconnected? I have tried a new pierburg maf and a second hand bosch maf but both of these, and the original maf, make it run absolutely awful, any suggestions? Thanks guys

    Freelander 1

Well that's it ordered now I am back to the job I have been desperately avoiding, removing the old one. It should be easier now I have those torx spanners, I am hoping one of those with a scaffold bar for extra umph, through the hole behind the wheel should do the trick

    Freelander 1

So once I got it out of the inner arm, I cut it back to get rid of the damaged thread. I was then attempting to get this freshly cut end into the new track rod end with no luck. I then decided to make sure there was nothing wrong with the female thread on the new tre to put the other end of the...

I originally had this adjuster sticking out with lacerations caused by me.

Thanks very much you pair, yes it was the adjuster I 'mullered' but since my last thread I have had a further engagement with the task at hand. I managed to get the adjuster back in to both the old inner arm and the new track rod end, however, I think I may have put the adjuster back the wrong...

    Freelander 1

Update on the progress or lack of on my inner track rod dilemma. The new inner arm came yesterday but with no thread on the end. So I have the new track rod end with no thread and a new arm also with no thread. Problem is, it's only the thread bit I need. So today I managed to get the old thread...

Yes I have ordered the left sided track rod, but was thinking maybe easier to change the adjuster thread rather than removing an engine mount and jacking the engine away from the bulkhead to get a Torx socket and ratchet on, which was suggested originally, thanks for your time

Ah right thanks nodge68, I am replacing the whole arm because I damaged the thread getting the track rod end off, was an absolute nightmare btw, I notice that it looks like it maybe possible to just replace the thread by undoing the bolt that's there, is this correct and have you ever tried such...

Hi this was my first post to which I received some advice, very gratefully, but does anyone know if these torx bolts are left hand thread or not? Thanks guys

Hi, brand new to this but looking for some advice. I was changingthe track rod end on my 55 plate freelander when I hit a problem trying to get it to wind off. Lots of swearing and some manic angle grinder strokes later I have damaged the thread on the track rod inner bar have ordered a new one...
