Thank you, I'll look in to the torque converter also. My mechanic let me down and so the car hasn't been seen by anyone yet. I don't suppose anyone knows a decent guy near Aberdeen that knows these cars?

Hopefully I'll have a bit of an update after the mechanic gives the car a once over. I've reached the limit of my knowledge and so the baton is being passed to the professionals. Phil does seem to be the guy to have on this topic though, found out through much furious googling.

Another update. The issue appears to get much much worse the warmer the car and running gear gets. I took it for a little 10 minute run the other day after a transfer box flush and had to get towed home. Although now the P0501-00 code doesn't get thrown when this happens. Well not every time...

    L322 Auto box disengaging

A quick update. Changing out the battery (after having a battery check conducted) seems to have lessened a lot of the fault codes but the main problem persists. I'm now just waiting to hear back from a mechanic for an appointment to look at my drive shafts still. When it happens, I have no low...

Drive shaft sounds very much like a shot in the right direction! The only thing that's throwing me off is that I've recorded live values from all wheel speed sensors and nothing was amiss with the data. That's with the GAP IID tool. There seems to be a judder now when the car is trying to 'find'...

I'm sure he is. I never met him but him and Datatek saved my bacon more than once with the P38. Sooooooo, any thoughts on my issue from anyone?

Oh god! I had no idea, honestly. That man saved my P38 more times than any other member. I just figured I hadn't seen his name as I was trawling L322 forums and not the P38 ones.

I've been away a while but not years. I'm not sure what you mean by sharp, sorry. I never try to come across as anything another than appreciative of any and all help that this forum has given me and many others in the past and hopefully future.

Yay, the L322 has a Wammers!! I have a 2007 and I'm using the GAP IID Bluetooth.

    L322 Auto box disengaging

This is my first L322 post but I've had a few P38 posts in the past and hope the L322 guys are as helpful as the old guard! I've got the fault code "P0501-00 (2E)" which is thrown after the engine is under load, the first time was whilst towing a caravan but now it is more regular. When this...

P38A EAS woes. I'm at the end of my tether

Without being condensed, I'm at around day 418 with constant 'niggles'. This current niggle happened mid blend motor change.....only passenger side to do still.

P38A EAS woes. I'm at the end of my tether

Honestly, thank you everyone for your advice and musings. It was more of a vent/rant about how my dear old girl is pushing my purist boundaries but has helped me gather my thoughts to find the real issue (hopefully)

P38A EAS woes. I'm at the end of my tether

I'll tell you right now, unless mine is goosed of course, it is about 3 millionths of a millisecond..... Now, mine might not be fully functioning but that's the time I get on my stopwatch count

Almost immediately. I think I've pretty much diagnosed it as a faulty sensor now. It's all very reminiscent of the issue Henry b described.

I am saying that, yes. The RSW version 2 tells you live sensor heights with the engine off but the key at position 2.

P38A EAS woes. I'm at the end of my tether

Right. A day of investigations has led me to a faulty sensor. Again, I'll never trust brand new parts in future. Chain of events; -turn off car -immediate drop from rear nearside corner -live read of sensor values show all at the nominal value of 95-97 -visually the corner is dropped a long way...

P38A EAS woes. I'm at the end of my tether

I actually condensed the days down for effect. The EAS issue has been ongoing for quite some time. The days mentioned are just key dates where a break in family and work life let me investigate further. I have installed schraeder valves and two different corners dropped! A little soapy water...

P38A EAS woes. I'm at the end of my tether

I might take them all back to the shop and buy Dunlop all round if I can't get to the bottom of it. I've soapy watered all bag connections and there's no leak and so hopefully I'm lucky there. Although, I always say I was born ginger and not lucky!

Arnott up front and Anschler bringing up the rear. 2 bottles of soapy water prepared and utilised. No leaks at the bags or connections. Dicky height sensor might be a solid shout. I'll have to plug in and check the raw sensor values at each height.
