Just soaking the inlet manifold in Mr Muscle...what to I use to rinse that out manifold once it's all clean, petrol? Also, looks like I need all13 rubber gaskets on the manifold. May as well do them. Can't seem to find a supplier for the 5 that sit between the big square ones that the bolts go...

Just thought I'd post an update. I got the injectors tested and two were an issue so I've replaced them all. It's now running much much better. Apparently the hose that goes to the intercooler is perishing and so there is still a very slight flutter. I will get the silicone ones, I think. But...

Crank has no play what so ever I may try to record the sound on my phone tomorrow and if I can work out how to put it on here I will.

Yes I've given that a good clean and I understand it's the EGR that's the cause of all the gunk. So I will go ahead at some point and blank that off. Just put everything back together and done a quick test drive. It seems better but will do a longer trip tomorrow and post results. Thanks both...

Manual...thanks for all the info. I've just stripped everything down to the head, de greased cleaned sensors I found and checked hoses. Nothing obvious except gunked sensors.

Hi again. So I've changed the fuel filter and decided I had better get the car on the diagnostics before I try to guess the issue it has. When I'm on the motorway at constant revs it feels like a misfire but only very slight, almost like a flutter. If it was a petrol car I'd say it was a plug...
