    Series 3 SWB Towing

It's got a 12j in it. Not sure of the original but think it was a petrol. Shame they're only 2t? I got my hopes up when I saw that 90s were rated at 3.5t!

    Series 3 SWB Towing

Ah right that's a bit more clear cut than the plate!! Guess I'll have to look into either a lightweight alu trailer or some couples brakes to run the full 3.5t? Never seen coupled brakes in person so will have to do some research Thanks for the help!

    Series 3 SWB Towing

Hi, Wondering If I could get some advice. I've got a 1979 SWB Series 3 that I intend to tow my track car with to do trackdays, hill climbs etc. As its pre VIN it has no GTW listed on the Chassis number Plate. I Understand the Recommended towing capacity is 2t but what legally can I tow a full...

    Air lockers

Had my eye on a pair of them chinese HF air difflocks on Alibaba and the price (guessing with everything going on) has dropped down to £300 with the compressor. Has anyone ever used these?

    300tdi erratic Idle/stall issues...

Yes I have adjusted it on the idle screw, but surely doing it on the cable is exactly the same. Both are just moving the throttle lever to a minimum point

Just taken that out and both inlet and out let's are clear (and the right way around).

    300tdi erratic Idle/stall issues...

Thanks, Yeah tried the clear pipe trick and no air on the feed or return. Has me scratching my head lol. Although the idles sounds ok I can't adjust it down any further and it's more the fact that when cold it sits in the low rpm range. If I give it some throttle I can get it to sit at normal...

    300tdi erratic Idle/stall issues...

Hi fellas, Recently refreshed a 300tdi that had been sat for a while. New fuel pipes, lift pump, filter, serviced injectors. The problem I'm having is an bit of an erratic idle. It starts fine hot or cold but will almost stall afterwards (maybe 300-400rpm) before it brings its self upto speed...

    19j into a 2.8l petrol project

That ain't half bad, I'd only been looking for ones out of landrovers or rover p5/p6

    19j into a 2.8l petrol project

Yeah I've heard that they are a wonderful engine but seem outdated being sidevalve etc and someone got a good deal for £1000 as the cheapest I saw was a incomplete engine for £600!!! and a non runner for £800

    19j into a 2.8l petrol project

Yeah i'm considering an essex but it'll need an adapter plate etc which gets expensive. Loads of power though lol

    19j into a 2.8l petrol project

As Turboman Said I have kep an eye out for them for about 6 months now with no luck other than incomplete or way to expensive

I'll have a look at them but ideally I wanted to keep it landrover based but petrol

    19j into a 2.8l petrol project

I would go for a 2.5l but they are almost impossible to find compared to a 2.5 TD or NA. I can also get good quotes with a modifed 2.5L but not with a 3.5L v8 (£2000 compared to £700) so the money I save on insurance will cover building a higher performance 2.8L. Plus I fancy a bit of a project

    19j into a 2.8l petrol project

To cut a long story short I want a 2.8l petrol in My Landy :D. From what I understand a 19j block would only need the head off a petrol (have one lying around) and a distributor in place of the vacuum pump. So the question is can these be bored out to 95mm like the 300tdi or even 100mm to give...
