Full set of 7 Series County Seats - brown cloth/vinyl edge

A full set of county seats taken from a scrapper Light-weight about 10 years ago although I imagine they're from something else - been sat in the shed ever since. It's a full set with brackets/hinges/frames as pictured. They are in generally very good but obviously used condition. One has a...

Seats - are they worth anything?

Thanks all. Do you think it's best to try and sell as a set or separately?

    No start after engine swap

Haha - at least it's fixed. So is it running well?

Seats - are they worth anything?

Hi all, I have a set of brown cloth seats from a SWB county. 3 deluxe fronts with four folding rears. Do you think they're worth anything? I just sold my S3 88' and offered them to the buyer but he declined so I perhaps thought they're not useful... What do you think? They're in good condition...

I think you're right about something to do with glass but they aren't standard Land Rover parts. Has it had aftermarket windows fitted?

    1983 Series III County, Petrol

Looking to move the above vehicle on. I've owned it for around 7/8 years and loved every minute. I now have very little time and many projects so think it's time for somebody else to enjoy this. It has a rustic patina but exactly what I like - not to everyone's taste. It had LPG fitted once...

    Series 2a/3 topend noise

Doesn't sound like exhaust to me... Does sound like metal on metal.

    Series 2a/3 topend noise

Does the noise increase with engine speed? I.e., more revs, more noise?

    Series 2 Dash heater vents

I currently have my dash out and would offer a picture but on my S3, it's a different vent to that.

    Stage 1 V8 starts,runs for 15min then dies..every time

I'd be looking at fuel first because it'll be easy to rule out. As wireman said, have some fuel on hand for when it breaks down and then quickly fill the carbs manually (a syringe type thing is useful). If it starts, it's a fuel evaporation issue. You'll need to know how to easily and quickly...

    Arghghg! Reverse light, still!!

Yes, you're right on that one... Problem solved! It doesn't have a switch on the gearbox, but you writing this jogged my memory to something. I recalled that there were two "random" wires under the insulation covers, that I noticed years ago doing something else. These were red and black...

    Arghghg! Reverse light, still!!

There's no connection to the switch - that's the bit I'm missing. It's had a Raptor dash fitted at some point so there's been a bit of carving up. When I took it apart, there was a connecting lead but it wasn't connected to anything... I've a few wiring diagrams but none of them seem exactly...

Thanks for the reply. Just a manual switch in the dash...

    Arghghg! Reverse light, still!!

Hi all, I posted recently about a problem with my reverse lights - 1983 petrol county. I still can't find the damn wire at the cab! It's really strange as it was connected (because it was working) but clearly it's become disconnected at some stage. It's a Green/Brown wire and I know I've got...

Series 3 88" with a Ford Transit DI engine fitted

A friend of mine had a 109 with this engine. Despite having that typical Transit racket, heard from miles away, it actually went really well. Therefore, would suggest something is amiss, or your expectations are too high. Although, 50-55 isn't right. A normal 21/4 would do that. Presumably a...

    MOT requirements - lights??

The 109 2.6 has twin pumps, that's what the wires are for. I haven't taken the Series III in yet, just my RRC but that did pass, flying colours. So got some good advice on emmision testing of that age of vehicle. The fog light is required on mine...

    MOT requirements - lights??

Took my RRC in for its MoT today. My friendly mechanic said that reverse lights aren't required at this age, not tested! I might just put it back together and forget about it until the next virus lockdown...

    MOT requirements - lights??

The spot lights are wired up properly. Just the reverse light I'm having problems with. Still not located that magic brown and green wire in the cab...

    MOT requirements - lights??

Possibly but it does have spot lights wired separately to an independent switch... Still no sodding reverse wire. Arghghgg!!
