I'd be looking at fuel first because it'll be easy to rule out. As wireman said, have some fuel on hand for when it breaks down and then quickly fill the carbs manually (a syringe type thing is useful). If it starts, it's a fuel evaporation issue. You'll need to know how to easily and quickly...

There's no connection to the switch - that's the bit I'm missing. It's had a Raptor dash fitted at some point so there's been a bit of carving up. When I took it apart, there was a connecting lead but it wasn't connected to anything... I've a few wiring diagrams but none of them seem exactly...

Took my RRC in for its MoT today. My friendly mechanic said that reverse lights aren't required at this age, not tested! I might just put it back together and forget about it until the next virus lockdown...
