Evening all, I know this has been asked a million times but what is the correct gearbox oil for a GM 5 spd auto box ??? I have looked through old posts but cannot see it ... Also does anyone know how to do the TV upgrade ?? Munes still on analogue so I guess its tuner aerial etc?? Thanks in...

Fitted a new gearbox and torque converter. Then cleaned the inside , today I will do the outside

Update is . It fixed itself , left it on drive for a few hours went out last night in it and noise has gone ??? Its a shame the gearbox didn't fix itself

Ok yes all is correct just went for a longer drive it comes in at 40 then goes comes back at 45 . Verry weird starting to wonder if recovery did something . So going through it all

Ok so put another gearbox and transfer box into my l322 3.0 td today drive up the road fine until 50 then a droning vibration started. Stays right up to 70 . Tried in manual mode still there but comes in at 55 ish instead .am I right in thinking torque converter?? Thanks

The plan was to put this other box in . Spend a bit of time stripping mi e and rebuilding it then keep as a spare . I have had quotes of 2k up but most with a 6 month warranty.. if I fit myself ... seems a lot of money for a 6 month gamble

Ok great thankyou I have been offered a complete driving box torque converter and transfer box . Does it need to be programmed or just plug and drive . VERRY GENTLY lol

I will get some but will weekend now . I have almost removed transfer box so will split that as it doesnt sound right and will remove trans sump to have look inside
