We did look at the heat shields and the exhaust...so...flex plate looks like the winner, I do have a gearbox leak so this all adds up. Bugger.

P38 4.6 GEMS has developed a metal clunking/tinny noise when accelerating (soft or hard acceleration). Can be loud and can sometimes not happen at all but my mechanic has given up looking for it. The noise seems to be coming from the central front end area. Any ideas guys?? Cheers.

Thanks Marjon . Its a 1999 P38 paint code 567. All of the parts are original from a conversion in 2003 including engine, suspension, dials, wheels and front spoiler. I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed. If you don't ask, you don't get.

Thought I'd ask:). Mine was stolen off the car whilst it was sorn and stashed away a while ago. Got the car MOT'd again and want it looking like it did. They left the wheels and the Overfinch dials which was nice of them I thought. Soooo, I'll just keep looking
