    Cheap Chinese diesel heater.

You will have more options on a 110+; on my 90 there is nowhere obvious to put another fuel tank where it could still be easily accessed other than in the truck bed and I wouldn't want that, personally. The Chinese kits usually come with a flat 10L tank which is thin but quite large in diameter...

    200TDI fuel pump not pumping

Yeah I clocked that. I had replaced the banjos with regular 12mm and then realised the return is restricted so I put the standard ones back in (the right way round). Cheers for the suggestion.

    200TDI fuel pump not pumping

I think the battery is fine, it is turning the motor over quickly and was working fine when it had the NA in it. I set all the timing up from scratch as I completely rebuilt the motor, and it aint just not starting - I've completely removed the fuel injector pipes so I can see if there is...

    200TDI fuel pump not pumping

As certain as I can be, although this is my first diesel engined motor so I don't have any experience to go on. When I remove the fuel inlet banjo there's fuel in the pump, and if I remove the bolt in the centre between the 4 injector pipes and activate the stop solenoid, fuel comes out. Also...

    200TDI fuel pump not pumping

i’ve completed the 200TDi install into my 90 but I am unable to get it started. I’ve traced the problem back to the FIP which isn’t pumping any fuel. The FIP was completely refurbished at significant cost before refitting. Nothing at all is coming out of the injector pipes. I changed the stop...

    200TDi & R380 into my 90 - what exhaust?

All done bar some tidying up. Here’s a picture of the bracket I fabricated to hang the centre pipe off the t-box and one of the exit.

    200TDi & R380 into my 90 - what exhaust?

Pretty happy with that, I will upload some pics of the mounts when I am done but overall that was a much easier job than I was anticipating.

    200TDi & R380 into my 90 - what exhaust?

the problem is the chassis rail is right in the way, you either need to fabricate some extra turns to take the downpipe past the chassis, or buy the Parkers downpipe.

    200TDi & R380 into my 90 - what exhaust?

Thanks for the replies. In the end I bought a 300TDI (straight thru) system and mated it to the Steve Parkers downpipe. I went with the 300 system as it looks a lot simpler than the 200 and I figured I might need the extra length to play with. I bought some hanger brackets from YRM, the rear...

    200TDi & R380 into my 90 - what exhaust?

I am ready to start fitting my rebuilt 200TDi and R380 gearbox / LT230 TBox from a Discovery 1 to my 1987 90 2.5NA. I am using the standard (long) R380 bell housing but I've fitted a Defender selector rail so I can use the LT77 selector quadrant and gear stick to keep everything inside the cab...

    Which 200TDI head gasket?

Here is the finished product, my fully rebuilt 200TDi with ported head and matched manifolds ready to be fitted in a couple of weeks along with a reconditioned R380 gearbox fitted with a Defender selector rail. I will be having nightmares about puddles of oil for the next two weeks!!

    Early 90 centre seat

Only just saw this post. My centre squab also sits lower which I really don't like and I can't seem to get the sides close enough.... I've got the "newer" style seat belt brackets fitted which I can weld a bracket onto. I'll take another look this weekend and decide what to do.

    Early 90 centre seat

Thanks for the reply mate, I took it out today and they seem to work at the position I have them set, in fact they are really comfy and sit a little higher than the old ones so happy with them now I've got my head around them not being fixed upright... I had imagined the passenger seat flopping...

    Early 90 centre seat

Well the driver and passenger seat are in, not sure I am convinced of the idea that they just rest against the back but I will give it a try as I can’t see how they are designed any different. Will probably have to fabricate something for the centre seat but that’s for next weekend.

    Early 90 centre seat

So your picture makes sense now I've seen my new seats, so if I may ask a few questions: 1. Are your seat backs retained in an upright position by themselves or do they just rest against the rear bulkhead? 2. If the latter, how does this work if you slide the seats forward or backward...

    Early 90 centre seat

So, the new seats finally arrived this morning from Exmoor.... and it's got me confused (easily done!!) The original seat backs were fitted to the frame & runners with 2 bolts through a bracket, which kept the seat back rigid. The interior of the frame had nuts welded on so you could bolt...

    Early 90 centre seat

No, still waiting for the damned things, I ordered them over a month ago. They are waiting for the metalwork apparently and I am promised them next week. Will update the thread when I’ve had a go at fitting them.

    Early 90 centre seat

Thats really helpful thanks. I can see the problem I am going to have... when I ordered the seats (Exmoor) there are 2 versions of the backs apparently, a pin version and a bolt version. My OEM seats are bolted, so that's what I ordered, but from your description probably what I wanted was the...

    Early 90 centre seat

Its that last picture I can't quite work out - does the centre seat back fit onto the back frame of the 2 outer seats? I get the base, it just sits sandwiched which isn't what I was expecting but at least there's no frame to make up. :-)

    Early 90 centre seat

Thanks for the replies, sorry I've not been back to check its been a mad few weeks. My driver & passenger definitely don't have any "double" frame to them and I can't quite work out what you've done there, but my new seats are arriving next week (back order) including the centre, so I will see...
