The Jaguar 2.7 engine is similar as is the citroen 2.7 diesel. They are the Ford Lion engine but ancillaries will be differerent, eg Jag S-Type has 2 turbos. I believe the basic engine is the same.

As you only do short journeys then the DPF will fill up, the best way to clear it is to let the car do a regen itself by doing a 30 min motorway run above 50 mph. This should probably be done about once per month.

Mine was quite tight and I had to wiggle it and tug quite hard to get it out but it did eventually move. It has two lugs to locate it at the bottom and these are what is probably stopping it from moving. It can also be a bit of a lining up struggle to get it back but not difficult. Good luck.

To remove DSP just unbolt the two 8mm bolts, disconnect the three plugs and just lift it out of its slot. Take care that you don't drop the clips for the bolts I think it may be the radio that is bolted to the DSP but it may be the TV,

I suppose you could appeal the failure to VOSA but then they would probably fail it on EGR blanked. The MOT rules state that there must be no evidence of tampering with the emission systems. :(

MOT tester will give a fail if he can see evidence of tampering with emission systems, However he is not allowed to remove any covers so he cannot see anything.

May be a bit obvious but have you checked the plug under the seat? Easy to get at if you fold the seats.

What is their opinion on folded up rear seats. Surely that is a load space. I used to have a Mazda Premacy which had removable rear seats. I suppose that wouldn't be allowed.

Fixed the pixels. Replaced the fuel pump so now I can use more than half a tank of diesel. Now the 60 part of the 60/40 rear seat will not unfold. Will have to look at that next week as I am busy for the next few days.
