Just fitted the new sender unit part no YAD000070 £39+ VAT I'll go out this afternoon and top the tank up and see how I go. Cheers for all you're help.

Hi all me again, I'm after a bit of help with the fuel gauge on my 2000 X V6 freelander. The problem is it has a mind of it's own if I fill it to the brim it shows about three quarters on the gauge drive it the next day and it might be half a tank after driving 10 miles? And I don't no...

Just an update, As I needed the car this week I removed the broken arm and removed the six butterflies.Re-sealed the access panel and refitted it till I can acquire a replacement. Took it for a spin and it seems to drive ok for now? Thanks for those that replied with help and advice...

More help needed please, I took your advice and pulled the plastic inlet plenum off and found that the rod that controls the six butterflies is broken off two of them. Any idea how much a new one is ie the hole unit or is there any thing else can be done. Cheers Colin.....
