I’m trying to run an engine on a stand before puting into car. Td5. Anyone have any experience with a pressure test kit that works plugged into back of oil cooler. Book says can use LRT-12-052C but hard to get hold of. Any oil pressure test kit with right thread should work tho right??? TIA

Anybody had problems with a FPR replacment relief valve not fitting? ordered a repair kit from JGS 4x4 and the new one was a slightly different size and didnt fit when i tried to press in with a vice. TIA

Yeah agreed. Turner are sound. Pic here just to run this past you chaps for my peace of mind before the head goes back on. Cleaning the pistons I noticed this little scratch on a few of the pistons...Surely cant be the injectors making contact with the crown?? I saw the engine running perfectly...

So all back from the machine shop. Crank and pistons all back in. However the new stretch con rod bolts i purchased are of inferior quality.. and as i went to torque the first one the head stripped. As you can see in the attached pic the bottom bolts head is less well formed than the top bolt...

What did you do for the hone? I just want to do a light one to give the new rings something to 'mate' with. What grit/pattern etc did you use?
