    Odd Noise.......

Hey Up, Been trying to sort a problem out on my mates 54 plate 60k Miles TD5 Defender. When you set off it is making a rubbing sort of noise as though something is catching, its not a metallic noise like a bearing but more like a rubber on metal type of noise, it seems to do it most when you...

    Re Building my 2A

The V8 is not as good off road compared to a diesel, the engine braking is not as good, I had a bob tailed rangie with a V8 in it and with it being coil sprung it just seemed alot more controllable off road compared to my series??? just my opinion. They don't like water, and with the fuel...

    Re Building my 2A

Never had any drivetrain issues with the V8, only a keen desire to drink the entire contents of shells oil refineries very quickly:D I am beginning to think more along the lines of a 2 1/4 because am i right in thinking that the engine mounts will need altering on the new chassis for a 200/300...

Series 3 - DIY Brake overhaul

You really need to have a look at paddocks mate, 300 quid sounds way over the top for bits to do that, if you haven't got much experience of things like that a good manual will be no end of help, take some piccy's on a digital camera if you're not sure of how things go then you can always revert...

Sorry landynutter, only just seen your post m8, its still in the early stages yet, i am sorting out the mounting plates for the calipers at the moment, i am gonna look for a series axle to use as a test rig rather than keep pulling my landy to bits, i am going to do a mock set up on that and...

    brake pedal dodgy

Cheers guys, the bleed nipple is on the bottom wheel cylinder, my mate has got 1 of them pressure bleeding jobbies so i will give that a try first, but i can also see the sense in having the bleed nipple at the top, i piped it up as it came off, so maybe its been done wrong before i got...
