Hey there, having BECM chatter with wipers, radio and HEVAC working intermittently. Think it might be a BECM problem. Any way to verify if I remove it from the vehicle?

Would the high resistance be some where along the White/Pink line or in the same harness somewhere?

So should I splice into the line and run my own wire straight to the one in the ignition? Or does the problem lie elsewhere?

So I did a check and the wire pulls about 10.7v, but when I turn the key into the accessory position, it drops all power. Is this normal? See attached //

So more than likely the stuttering accessories would be the under-hood fuse box? It would make sense. I just don't know what do to do fix it.

I checked and some were light brown. I have cleaned them up alittle. I'm going to do a test tomorrow after work, just to make sure it's when the truck is hot. That will limit it down to either something in the engine bay or maybe just a coincidence with the POS1 ignition wire.

Just did a check, and it would appear my surge tank for coolant is empty. No overheating however. What kind of coolant does a 1998 P38 4.6Litre V8 Petrol take? I'm sure this is a stupid question, I'm American; cut me some slack xD

Got the dash apart and found said wire. Pushed and pulled on some things. Sometimes everything would stay on, then just go off again. Replaced the BECM underhood maxi-fuses too. I really don't want to take it to a shop if I can avoid it, the local land rover expert is fairly pricy. Any other...

Thank you sir! I'm going to do some track-and-reporting. Just got some blue MAXI fuses, that run the BECM and I will check with that first. If that reveals no joy I'm going to get that. Only £45.

Haha nah right side of the road is the right side. And I still have to check that ignition wire. How do I get to it? Another thing, I'm going to try to replace the MAXI fuses under the hood that run the BECM. I feel like it might be those, because when the engine is hot everything starts to work

The red wire is my fuel door release switch. Connections are good. I found the old ones but they aren't attached to anything. They are green and black.

Tomorrow I will test the switched 12v for the stereo and see. I'll report back//

I will definentily look into it. I think it's worth it. A new Inteli-Chip key and lock remote from GM for my caddy cost me 400 so that is a good deal. Thank you for this info!! :)
