Thanks for the reply, i have found the problem, the cable to the maf had come off, i dont know how , i had just done a 30 mile round trip to the shops and it had been fine, it was only the last mile or so it started playing up, any way thanks for your help

Update on this, Diff lock is working and sending power to rear wheels, the noise is coming from front of transfer box, is this a recon box job or is there a repair that can be done ?
