My brake light switch just failed so I have just been playing with this on a 93 Defender Stationwagon. Having unbolted the pedal box (not too difficult as none of the bolts resisted much ) I find the locknut on the switch is a 19mm brass one on the outside of the pedal box. I had it in my head...
