    stuck in 4wd

Evening all. After changing bearings and seals on the series 3 box it is in permanent 4wd. I've taken the output housing off and everything looks as the the book says it should and the shafts move freely in the housing, no sticky or rusty ones. Is there something obvious I've missed or anyone...

    stuck half shaft

It moves but only a bit then gets stuck fast. I've tried knocking it back and forth but cant seem to get any more than 8mm of travel. Thanks for the quick replies though guys. I'm thinking option 4 is going to be the way to go on this.

    stuck half shaft

I had a half shaft go a while ago. Just got round to fixing it. After removing the broken one it's clear the broken end is in the diff. Fast forward many swear words and grazed knuckles and I have the diff on the work bench but for the life of me I cant remove the broken piece. It can move about...

    Hi all

Thanks matey. She's got issues but I'm hoping to stop most before they get too bad. The gearbox and transfer box are in pieces to replace seals and bearings.

I believe that's the series2 and 2a. Will it work if I cut both mounts off and weld the series 2 mounts on?

Brilliant. Cheers guys I'll take a look. Welding isn't a problem. Its a pretty tidy looking bulkhead. The other side is top notch but strangely that one seems to have aged 20 years faster.

What are these called and where to find em.

I have a few bulkhead issues on the series 3. all the other issues i can source repair sections for (or fab something to suit. but the windscreen hinge mount (I'm guessing that's what to call it) is proving tricky to source. I've tried pegasus and DLR to no avail. I'm in horsham west sussex if...

Hi to everyone here. I was gifted a 1981 series 3 with many issues. but as the old saying goes never look a gift horse in the mouth. Every time I'm googling problems or parts this forum comes up so I thought I'd sign up. no doubt I'll be posting all sorts of bone questions sooner or later.
