I was wrong - on a high beam, the left hand light goes to high but the right hand side turns off.... Still an earth issue?

Hi I've had a drain on the battery and traced it back to the lighting circuit - Theres 2 relays, the first one (non yellow) seems to be the source of the issue - is this a dim dip relay? I cant seem to get the wiring sequence right to allow the side light and headlights to work correctly - can...

Yep - parts ordered. Part of the brass slider has broken off - see pic. Should I drop the sump to see if I can find it?

Brass Slider damaged both on the bent pushrod and also the one the valve cap pops off on (obviously the cause)

got the pushrod removed - its bent....

Ahh - I misunderstood - I was referring to the rocker assembley - will check!!

Took the rocker shaft off - Slider/guide is ok - Pushrod is jammed and cant be removed but can be turned abit - Assume will have to pull head off to free it? is there anything else i need to check. If its a new head gasket, will i need to put a new one in or reuse?

Hi I recently had to replace the head gasket on a 19J engine due to some oil leaking out the back. After reassembly, tappets we checked and set but after running - the cap on valve 6 is able to jump off and after watching it running with the rocker cover off, the pushrod on the second valve...

The walls of the bore appear to be smooth - how do you know if they need to be rebored or honed and just replace the pistons?

No it was running fine except the oil screwed up the started motor which is how i noticed it

No Cracks between the valves, only on the hot spots - how difficult is the rebuild? never done one before..... or would i be better to try and find someone to do it

Hi On an 1988, the wipers dont part and only the sweep angle is 60 degrees. Ive replaced the switch on the motor and also replaced the motor gear with a 115 degree one - but no difference. Can anyone offer ay advice where to look next? Thanks

Hi, Ive recently got a 1988 land rover 90 - i'm working through the issues but this one's abit weird. If i put it in drive the rear wheels/prop wont turn unless i press the foot brake. Any advice on where to look? I think the previous owner replace the brake pads before the rear prop...
