    Hazards lights

Good info on this post. It just helped me to fix this issue on my 2000TD5. I think it was the inertia switch, as I felt a small click when I pressed it the first time. It didn’t seem like it was fully triggered, more likely partially triggered? I pressed it again to see if it clicks every time...

    Disco 2 Tailgate won't open

Just to add to this. I just had this issue on my 2000 TD5 too. I managed to open the tail gate with the screw driver technique detailed above. But the child lock button was not the fault. It’s stuck firm in the upper position m. Rather on mine the whole latch was loose, as the three torx bolts...

Sometimes it’s easy to miss the obvious. In fairness though, I only picked it up at yesterday evening. I am surprised it does not really click in though anywhere. It only sits on top of the Jack? I could not find a way to secure it anyhow. So it might rattle around a bit. I also bought a...

Great thanks. Very helpful. Silly me, I didn’t think to look in the handbook. Duh. The illustration also shows how the other parts should be stored.

Right I get you! I had figure to pull the straps to get the spare wheel out, but not that it hooks to the tail gate. I can see why though as the wheel is heavy., Any idea if there’s a specific/ correct place to store the this part?

Also where should it be stored? I can’t see any obvious place for it to click in/ latch on ?

So it stops the folding tailgate from closing? But why?

I am trying to figure out the purpose of this thing? It’s displayed on the wheel change diagram, but it doesn’t really click into place anywhere? Just kind of sits there? It was missing from my car but they are under a fiver from the dealer, so I thought I would add it to my shopping list as I...

Ok interesting. I thought it was just mine missing. When I was looking to buy I never saw another with the covers missing. Let alone the air inlet pipe. They are only a few Allen bolts to take off for inspection. The engine is running spot on currently. But I will be maintaining it myself. I...

is there any reason to run the engine without the covers on? They were missing when I bought the car, including the air inlet pipe. I have mover replaced them. tidies things up somewhat too.

Thanks. I am trying to nail as many of the faults early on. I have only owned the car a lot 4-5 weeks now. I know from experience from other cars. If you don’t fix them early on, you get used to faults, and they never get done. Thankfully/ eventually I did find a decent responsive parts...

Some good progress made recently on the car. Steering column adjust is now fixed. Two stage fix. a replacement seat switch pack returned the up/ down function. But no in/ out function . Further investigation looking from the footwell up revealed my lower adjust motor was completely missing! The...

Has anyone on here repaired their own DSP AMP? I know mine is causing part of the battery drain at about 0.36A. The unit works as such. I have cleaned up the plugs/ had to open/ cleaned/ electro lubed the plugs to prevent further corrosion. Though it’s also possible the female side of the plug...

I also had remove the left front door card again, as I lost operation of the central locking on that door. It turns out it must have only been a poor connection on a plug somewhere, as Unplugged/ then plugged everything back in again and the CL actuator sprung back to life again thankfully,

I am still steadily working my way through the long list of “standard issues”. Thought I would add the pics in case they are useful to others. Here’s the fix to stop the climate control panel from endlessly buzzing, I applied a small dab of light oil to the fan shaft to aid it spinning...

    L322 L322 drivers seat ecu

Has anyone worked out what actually fails on these seat switch packs? To make the memory and steering column stop working. The plugs connecting onto mine are all perfect looking. No damage/ all pins look good. I will look to change it, but I can’t help thinking another used one will end up...

I have bought a used fan, that I can fit, just in case I need to do any towing in summer/ hot weather. I appreciate it’s not needed 95% of the time in the UK, but I can’t help thinking that under full load in summer, it might be pushing it somewhat?

Yes, I did note the EGR delete too. I suppose that’s a standard. Is the Viscous Fan delete considered standard/ recommended in the UK, under all circumstances? Or do people just do it when the Viscous unit fails? Rather than buy a new one?
