    Disco 2 with LPG conversion

A pal of mine is looking to buy a disco 2 with an LPG conversion but has been warned by someone else that the LPG system can cause the cylinder head to become porous. Is there any evidence for this?

    90 200TDI producing clouds of white/grey smoke

looks like it's out by a tooth, not enough adjustment on the pump sprocket/hub assy. Checked the timing on my own 200tdi 90 and it's dead on. My pal's seems to be a few degrees retarded. Turbo is fine, but thanks for suggestion. Will check the full belt timing and sort that for now.

    90 200TDI producing clouds of white/grey smoke

Have a 90 200 tdi which has started producing lots of white smoke in the exhaust gas. Have checked the following: cylinder compression, maximum difference between adjacent cylinders only 20 PSI (70 PSI limit), so that's ok. checked injectors by loosening union on each one in turn to see if the...

    Mountain bike inside 110 defender...

A non station wagon 110 is the best mountain bike carrying vehicle I've owned, 3 mountain bikes and a twin child trailer all fitted perfectly without removing any wheels or even folding the trailer flat. My everyday landy is a 90 (which I prefer), but do miss the massive load area of the 110.

    Calling all help possible!

Have you tried looking through Brightwells catalogue (weekly 4x4 auctions in Leominster, Herefordshire). Incidentally I should have added, I bought the 110 with the intention of breaking it, however discovered that the chassis was in such good condition, no holes or plates I couldn't do it...

    Calling all help possible!

I bought it on ebay. It was a C-reg. The seller had described it simply as a diesel, however I recognised the engine as a 200 tdi, the body was battlescarred, but that's no real concern when it's the right engine with a perfect chassis.

    What's it worth...

If you seriously expect to get your investment back, you'd have to break it. Then you may surprise yourself and get more than you hoped for. However it would be a shame to break something that's roadworthy. As it is £2000 sounds right.
